One recent project I looked at is a neo-Baroque church in Chicago: decoration budget was 10% of the total, and this church is very elaborate.<br /><br />One of way of avoiding excessive cost is by avoiding an increase in project scope: many modern church buildings try to do too much and often end up as multi-purpose activity centers. Designing a church as a church is one way of keeping costs low.Mark S. He has quite an impressive list of projects on this website. Check out the the family chapel that is in a private home in Nebraska.
