Feast of Saint Francis Xavier

TODAY IS the feastday of Saint Francis Xavier, of the Society of Jesus, who is called the greatest missionary since the Apostles, doing work in India, Indonesia, and Japan.

  1. Preaching the Good News to the poor, sick, untouchables, disabled, orphans, destitutes, leprosy patients, marginalized, stigmatized, disowned, exploited and the downtrodden, took Xavier far and wide to regions of hardships where he was able to encounter the Divine in human form.
