ReplyDeleteI have been doing some family history research for my ancestors in St. Clair County IL. There is a St. Clair County Geneological Society web site. Also the Belleville Public Library, downtown Bville, has records of all Catholic baptisms, marriages, funerals, etc., (I think for St. Clair County only) from about the 1800s on. The Library's web site provides further detail as to what they have.
ReplyDeleteYes. Geneology is very interesting. I have a relative on my family tree who was born in 1766. And that was in Germany too... imagine how hard it was for that record to survive. Congratz on helping people with their geneologies. Found this website on stlouiscatholic ;)
