Canons Regular to Celebrate the Immaculate Conception, in Shrewsbury, Missouri - REMINDER

As a reminder....

Dana Cole sent me this announcement. I've added web links to it:
The Canons Regular of the New Jerusalem will be celebrating the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception with a Solemn Mass at the Saint Vincent de Paul Chapel at the Rigali Center (former Kenrick Seminary) on Friday, December 8, 2006, beginning at 7:00 PM.

The liturgy will start with a candlelight procession. Music for the Mass Ordinary will be "The Mass For Four Voices" by the famous 16th century English composer, William Byrd. The Mass Propers will be sung in Gregorian Chant by the Schola Cantorum of the canons. Guest homilist will be Dr. Laurence Paul Hemming, Deacon, Dean of Research at the Heythrop College, London, England, and founder of the Society of Saint Catherine of Sienna. His sermon will be entitled "The Mystery of Mary's Role in Our Life of Grace."

The chapel is reached by walking straight through the main door of the building. Very adequate parking is available directly in front of the main doors.
Address:
Cardinal Rigali Center
20 Archbishop May Drive
Shrewsbury, Missouri 63119

The Rigali Center contains Archdiocesan offices and is located in suburban Saint Louis County, Missouri. Its Saint Vincent de Paul Chapel is a Gothic masterpiece.

  1. Thanks. My son and I are going. I was hoping the rumors of the motu proprio on the Old Mass were going to be true today.
