HERE ARE PHOTOS of Saint Mary's Church, in FieldonIllinois. The church is located 1-⅓ miles east of the center of that village, and is approximately 49 highway miles north-by-northwest of downtown Saint Louis, Missouri.

The church is located in western Jersey County, 8 miles west of the county seat of Jerseyville; this area was settled by farmers from the Schwarzwald, or Black Forest region in Germany.

I can't find any history of this church; if any reader would care to share information, I'd be happy to include it.

Unusual barrel-vaulted nave.

According to the 2009 diocesan directory, this church has 370 parishioners in 170 families.
