Saint Agatha's school building is for sale. With the loss of vocations since the 1960s, and the subsequent secularization of Catholic education, school closures have been inevitable, and with these closings the world has lost its largest source of quality, low-cost education. The restoration of Catholic education will take decades.
Wish I had the funds to buy it. I have so many ideas for buildings like that and the good that they could house.
ReplyDeleteThe school is adjacent to the Anheuser-Busch brewery, and over the years the company has purchased buildings in this neighborhood as they have become available. Usually the buildings are demolished and turned into parking lots.
