"The Surprise"

Last night I saw the Theatre of the Word's performance of "The Surprise", a play by G.K. Chesterton, at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, Missouri. It is charming, funny, and well-acted, as well as being an entertaining look at free will. It features a poet, a king, princess, handmaiden, swordsmen, robots, a Franciscan friar, and a play-within-a-play. It continues tonight and Sunday night. Click for details.
