The Poor Souls

On this All Souls Day, we ought to remember the poor souls who need our prayers, as well as remember the last things.

These toppled monuments, victim to vandalism, negligence, or mere time, are a reminder of our fate in this fallen world. We also ought to remember our duty in love to remember, honor, and pray for those who have gone before us.

I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

Despise not, O Lord, the works of thine own hands.

O remember not the sins and offenses of my youth.

The bones which thou hast broken shall rejoice in the Lord.

Requiem æternam dona eis, Domine. Et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Requiescant in pace.
